In a 2024 holiday contest, competing among 100+ talented musicians with proper drum sets, Jordan drummed his own 30-second rendition of “Feliz Navidad” using only his hands, legs, and a coffee mug as an instrument. The 29-year-old took home the grand prize: a limited-edition, 7-piece Mapex Armory kit.

Then, a few months later, he poured his soul into that kit and won a $200 Zildjian splash symbol in an online contest, surpassing drummers who’ve been pounding away at their craft on their professional kits for decades.

The Georgia-native went from busking on Biel Street in Memphis, the birthplace of the Blues, to landing paid gigs in the Midwest after auditioning with a single song.

Now, he wants to create music with a band as determined as he is.
